This boot offers the lightweight support of an alpine hiking boot while meeting stringent NFPA standards. In addition to a fire-resistant leather upper, the boot features breathable mesh lining and reinforced opanka-stitch construction that provides a strong bond between the upper and outsole. A Vibram® S587 Fire & Ice outsole delivers oil-and-slip-resistant traction on rugged, high-angle terrain even in extremely hot and cold environments. The boot’s 851 last offers an athletic, supportive fit with ample room in the toe. The platform construction incorporates a full-length polypropylene board with an integrated steel shank for excellent stability. NFPA 1977: 2022 Edition Certified. Meets ASTM F2892-18 EH.
